The Metro needs to consume electricity to transform it into movement. To calculate it, we use this formula.

If we circulate at 100 km/h, the kinetic energy used would be 386 km/J.

We think that the better option to travel around the city, is the Metro. But, which advantages and disadvantages is have?
Let’s compare with the car.
Some people think that is better travel by car, but not everyone has one. The cars consumes a lot. 1 litre of gasoline per 8 kilometers. It’s true that is more comfortable than the Metro, but the maintain is so expensive. If we want to travel around Barcelona, it will consume a lot. With 50 liters of gasoline we could go all over Barcelona 4 times, which is equivalent to 400 km.
The Metro is more economical because it’s electrical and public. With that transport you can travel for all Barcelona in a very cheap way .
The most popular target is it the T10 because you have 10 trips for 10,20 euros. There are also other types of targets.
The downside of this type of transport is that it’s used by a lot of people and sometimes it’s uncomfortable.
When we use the Metro we pay for the energy that we’re consuming and we pay much less than the car, so, we think that the best option is the Metro.

We want to know the time that takes to go from Fondo to Sagrera.
We open Google Maps we can see that takes 20 minutes.
But, also, if we do this route walking, it will take
1 hour and 9 minutes.
If we do this route by Metro, it will take 14 minutes.
We've calculated the speed per minute and the metres per segons of other 4 Metro's lines.
