Josep Torras i Bages (in current normative Catalan, Josep Torras i Bages, Las Cabañas, September 12, 1846-Vich, February 7, 1916), bishop and a Catalan writer, was the main driver of Catalan regionalism, traditionalist and catholic.

James I the conqueror, 2 February 1208-27 July 1276 was king of Aragon count of Barcelona, and Lord of Montpellier from 1213 to 1276, King of Mallorca fom 1231 to 1276 and Valencia from 1238 to 1276.

11th of Septembre. The Army of Catalonia that initially fought in support of the Habsburg dynasty claim to the Spanish throne were finally defeated at the Siege of Barcelona by the army of the Borbón king, Felipe V of Spain on 11th of Septembre 1714 after 14 months of siege. It meant the loss of the Catalan constitutions.
The 2nd of May of 1808 was a rebellion by the people of Madrid against the occupation of the city by French troops, provoking the repression by the French Impierial forces.
